Silent & Live Auction
A great time was had by all again this year at the PFC auction. More than 90 auction items were donated by physiotherapy industry enthusiasts, garnering more than $7,000 in funds raised.
Special thanks to PFC Board of Governors members Suzanne Sheppard, Stephen Martin and Dan Mueller for looking after the silent auction.

Run & Walk for Research
Forty-eight hardy runners and walkers came out for the annual PFC run/walk for research at Congress 2011 in Whistler, B.C., raising almost $5000 between them.
The National Student Assembly group raised over $1000, with Queen’s University raising $700 to lead the other 13 schools.
The Leadership Division won the Division challenge for the third straight year. Special thanks to Leadership Division member Dan Mueller for submitting $650 in pledges, and to member Elaine Maheu for contributing $530 in pledges. We would also like to recognize the Animal Rehabilitation Division for supplying travel mugs to all participants, and the Orthopaedic Division for supplying five excellent draw prizes.

Ann Collins Whitmore Student Competition
Each year, three student researchers are selected from the Canadian physiotherapy university programs to present their work to a jury panel at the CPA Congress. Each finalist receives a $1,500 travel stipend toward attending Congress.
Student research projects from across Canada of an exceptionally high standard were presented at Congress 2011 to a jury panel comprising Scientific Awards Committee members. There was great excitement as three gifted students explained their work to an attentive audience on Sunday, July 17.
The PFC is delighted to announce the winner of the 2011 Ann Collins Whitmore Student Competition. Congratulations, Nicole Hills!
Congratulations also to Cindy Gauthier who came in the second place. Cindy received the CPA Research Division Legacy Award presented by Carolyn Emery, co-chair of the CPA Division Research Representatives Committee.
